Good climate at the workplace
Here are a few facts about office climate control:
- Performance is increased by a good atmospheric environment
- Concentration and physical condition are improved, your employees’ motivation increased
- Retrofitting climate control is possible without a great deal of effort
- Split air-conditioning devices offer employees a high degree of individuality
- Temperature as well as force and direction of the air flow can be varied
- This allows your employees to choose their personal “perfect climate”
Bielefeld judgement
Yet climate control is not only sensible from an ergonomic point of view, according to the German workplace directive (Arbeitsstättenverordnung AStV) the employer is obliged to guarantee a good atmospheric environment. These general conditions were confirmed and put into concrete terms in April 2003 in the often quoted Bielefeld judgement. The judgement says that the room temperature in offices may not be higher than 26°C at outdoor temperatures of 32°C, and at least 6°C under outdoor temperature if this is higher than 32°C.
Retrofitting an air-conditioning system
Installation of a central air-conditioning system at a later date is often complicated and usually difficult for space reasons. Our split air-conditioning devices can be integrated in an existing building concept at a later date with little effort. This is the best possible way to install climate control later and without the installation causing much disruption.
